Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Norton Shores that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and inventory.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as variance analysis and cost reports.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis in a manufacturing environment

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system beyond basic data entry (e.g., system configuration, report building, or module integration).
• Exposure to cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environment (e.g., variance analysis, standard costing).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for financial reporting and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and implement automated solutions (e.g., advanced Excel macros, basic scripting).
