Shop Manager | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $132,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Shop Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation.
• Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures.
• Manage and mentor a team of manufacturing technicians and operators.
• Monitor production efficiency and identify areas for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with supply chain to optimize material flow and inventory levels.
• Prepare production reports and analyze key performance indicators.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of skilled technicians.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) or similar production management software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
