Salary Range: $76,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Walker that are seeking skilled Supplier Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality.
• Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions and other quality-related documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reliability.
• Participate in new product development (NPD) processes to ensure supplier quality readiness.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
• 3+ years experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, SPC, 8D)
• Demonstrated ability to conduct supplier audits and drive corrective actions
• Experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, casting, electronics assembly)

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
• Experience with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Proficiency in a second language relevant to global supply chains (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, German)
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for quality management (e.g., SAP QM, Oracle QMS)
