Quality Technician | Kalamazoo, MI

Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kalamazoo that are seeking Quality Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products.
• Utilize various metrology tools to verify product dimensions against specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and provide feedback to production.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in using quality measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems

Bonus Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 certification
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Familiarity with Minitab or other statistical software
• CMM programming experience
