Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Byron Center that are seeking skilled Robotics Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of robotic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and software issues in industrial robots.
• Install and configure new robotic equipment and peripheral devices.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and develop maintenance schedules.
• Develop and optimize robot programs for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve robot performance and reliability.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system configurations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial robotics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC logic.
• Demonstrated ability to program, teach, and calibrate industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB, Yaskawa).
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence)
• Familiarity with a variety of robot brands beyond the primary (e.g., Kawasaki, Epson, Comau)
• Basic proficiency in a scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, C#) for data analysis or tool development
• Experience with collaborative robots (cobots) and their unique safety considerations
• Ability to interpret and modify CAD models for fixture design or cell layout
