About the job Senior BI Analyst
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for ecommerce and retail analytics.
- Develop and maintain retail and ecommerce-related models, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability of data and reporting.
- Utilize SQL and BigQuery to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
- Utilize Python and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models and optimize business processes.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization and growth in ecommerce operations.
- Create intuitive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI, ensuring data is presented in a meaningful and actionable format.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver accurate and timely insights.
- Monitor key metrics and proactively provide analysis and recommendations to enhance ecommerce performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand data structures and ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of ecommerce analytics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BI Analyst or similar role, preferably in an ecommerce or retail environment.
- Good understanding of commerce-related models and concepts such as customer lifetime value, customer segmentation, funnel analysis, A/B testing, and cohort analysis.
- Proficient in data visualization tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI. Experience with Tableau and Metabase is a plus.
- Good understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong SQL and BigQuery skills for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience working with CRM systems and CRM metrics is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and experience with programming in Python
- Experience with common segmentation, retention metrics and analysis (churn analysis, RFM segmentation, affinity scoring, etc)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in data.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
