Key Responsibilities 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for ecommerce and retail analytics.
  • Develop and maintain retail and ecommerce-related models, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability of data and reporting.
  • Utilize SQL and BigQuery to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Utilize Python and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models and optimize business processes.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization and growth in ecommerce operations.
  • Create intuitive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI, ensuring data is presented in a meaningful and actionable format.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver accurate and timely insights.
  • Monitor key metrics and proactively provide analysis and recommendations to enhance ecommerce performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting procedures.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to understand data structures and ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of ecommerce analytics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a BI Analyst or similar role, preferably in an ecommerce or retail environment.
  • Good understanding of commerce-related models and concepts such as customer lifetime value, customer segmentation, funnel analysis, A/B testing, and cohort analysis.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI. Experience with Tableau and Metabase is a plus.
  • Good understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong SQL and BigQuery skills for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and CRM metrics is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and experience with programming in Python
  • Experience with common segmentation, retention metrics and analysis (churn analysis, RFM segmentation, affinity scoring, etc)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in data.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
