Job Title: Vice President of Product

Job Description:

The Vice President of Product will be responsible for leading the development and commercialization of AI-based products for defense and commercial applications. The role will involve working closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, sales, and marketing professionals to define product vision and strategy, develop go-to-market plans, and drive revenue growth. The candidate will also be responsible for creating and maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the defense industry, including government agencies and prime contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the product development and commercialization efforts for AI-based products
  
• Define product vision and strategy, and develop go-to-market plans
  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, sales, and marketing, to drive product development and revenue growth
  
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the defense industry, including government agencies and prime contractors
  
• Establish and nurture relationships with important partners and clients in the commercial sector, including major companies and key decision-makers.
  
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and ensure that products meet their requirements
  
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and defense, and incorporate them into product development
  
• Act as a spokesperson for the company in industry events and conferences
  

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in product development and commercialization, with a focus on AI-based products for defense applications
  
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams
  
• Proven track record of developing and commercializing products and driving revenue growth
  
• Strong understanding of AI and its applications in defense, including computer vision, deep learning, and natural language processing
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or engineering, is required; a graduate degree is preferred
  
• Experience in government and defense contracting is a plus
  
• Experience in a startup or early-stage company is an added advantage
  
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  
• Possession of a Top Secret/Secret Confidential security clearance for access to classified data is highly preferred.
  

Compensation Package:

The compensation package would include a base salary along with equity and performance-based bonuses, benefits, and possibly a relocation package.
