General Manager
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Expected salary is $125k - $150k salary but target bonus can bring total comp to $250k in cash comp.
The General Manager is responsible for providing leadership for all essential branch activities including P&L management, business development activities, workforce management, training, sales management, facilities management, warehouse management, and fleet management.
A qualified candidate will have demonstrated success at being a strong problem solver and capable of generating and implementing strategic decisions using a combination of analysis and experience.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Effectively leads and is accountable for all aspects of sales and field operations to ensure customer expectations and company financial objectives are met
- Perform to monthly, quarterly, and annual budget goals and KPI's
- Build and develop a team in the areas of sales, service, installation, warehouse, fleet, call center, and dispatch to achieve both individual and branch goals
- Set individual goals and KPIs for all staff positions with financial responsibilities
- Monitor staff performance to ensure that daily revenue and sold-hour goals are met
- Show employees how their individual contributions matter to the companys success
- Communicate clearly, show recognition, and build rapport with employees
- Monitor employee engagement levels and know how to promote a healthy work environment
- Train and advise staff members on how to win new referrals and gain repeat business
- Establish customer satisfaction metrics, evaluate performance, and coach staff to success
- Build a plan for escalating customer complaints that results in quick, favorable resolutions
- Create annual budget, control expenses, and meet or exceed plan
- Ensure sufficient staff levels to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes
- Promote enthusiasm and brand loyalty during daily huddles, team meetings and 1:1s
- Conduct operations and P&L meetings with key managers to increase productivity levels
- Formalize a coaching and training platform thats consistent, effective, and measurable
- Shape company culture by living the values of our company, specifically ethics and integrity
- Bring more energy than you take, because you will set the tone every day for the entire organization
- Communicates key business updates to the President/CEO as necessary
- Continuously recruit and hire the best talent available to expand the team for growth
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 5 years of successful management and related technical experience
- Highly motivated to get things done the right way
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and active listening skills
- Highly confident, skilled leader who is persuasive with a selling personality
- Must enjoy being constantly challenged to grow and improve operationally
- Proficient with smartphones, tablets, laptops, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook with the ability to learn new service software
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Must feel comfortable using key performance and financial metrics to manage the business and excel as a leader
- Demonstrated success at building a team of technicians who do quality work
- Able and willing to connect with the community to identify new opportunities and recruit new talent
