The Role: Journalist (B2B) Travel & Tourism
This role is ideal for a journalist who thrives on uncovering original stories, engaging with industry professionals, and producing clear, insightful journalism for a business audience. You'll be responsible for identifying trends and developments that matter to travel agents, tour operators, and tourism professionals, helping them make informed decisions in a fast-evolving sector.
Key Responsibilities

Research, investigate, and report on trends, policies, and developments shaping the travel and tourism sectors.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with industry professionals, authorities, and operators.

Conduct interviews and source original insights from credible contacts.

Write accurate, engaging, and well-structured news and feature articles for a professional audience.

Analyse market data, travel trends, and regulatory updates to assess business impact.

Collaborate with editors and colleagues to uphold editorial integrity and clarity.

Meet daily and weekly deadlines, delivering consistent, high-quality content.
About You

Degree or diploma in Journalism, English, Communications, Politics, Economics, or related field (preferred).

Demonstrated journalism or writing experience (published work required).

Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Strong analytical and critical thinking ability.

Conscientious, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy.

Confident in networking and engaging with industry professionals.

Organised and dependable, able to manage multiple stories at once.

Self-motivated and proactive in finding original news angles.

Valid driver's licence and own transport (travel may be required for events, interviews, and press trips).
