The Role: E-Learning Manager
As the E-Learning Manager, you will oversee the organisations learning management system (LMS), lead a team of administrators and training coordinators, and drive the creation of engaging digital courses. You will ensure compliance with accreditation standards, deliver innovative e-learning products, and continuously improve learner experience. This role is key in positioning the company as a leader in digital education within the national skills development landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operation, optimisation, and compliance of the LMS, ensuring SETA/QCTO reporting standards are met.

  • Manage learner registration, enrolment, assessment tracking, and reporting.

  • Lead and mentor e-learning administrators and training coordinators, ensuring effective team delivery.

  • Design and oversee interactive, multimedia-rich digital courses that meet inclusivity and accessibility standards.

  • Research global e-learning trends and pilot innovative tools and technologies.

  • Develop and launch short courses aligned to client and market needs.

  • Collaborate with marketing to package and promote online learning solutions.

  • Partner with SMEs to convert content into high-quality, engaging e-learning modules.

About You

  • Bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field (NQF 7).

  • Minimum 5 years experience in e-learning management or digital learning roles.

  • Proven track record managing LMS platforms (Moodle, Totara, Canvas, Blackboard).

  • Strong leadership experience managing administrators and coordinators.

  • Skilled in instructional design, adult learning principles, and digital learning compliance.

  • Proficiency with multimedia authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.).

  • Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills.

  • Innovative thinker with a passion for digital learning and ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
