Electrical & Electronics Engineer, Western Cape
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
- ECSA registration (or in the process of registering) – preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial control environment
- Minimum 3 years PLC & DCS programming experience
- Minimum 3 years of control loop tuning experience
Key Responsibilities:
- You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle, including:
- Designing boiler controls, instrumentation and electrical systems
- PLC & DCS programming (preferably Schneider Unity Pro)
- Preparing instrument lists, I/O lists, control philosophies, loop drawings, wiring diagrams and PLC cabinet designs
- Specifying and procuring electrical & instrumentation equipment
- Estimating and preparing electrical & I&C proposals for boiler enquiries
- Cold and hot commissioning of boilers, burners, fans, pumps, VSDs, valves, oil & gas systems
- Control loop tuning, system optimisation and operational fault finding
- Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) on the company's MRP system
- Working directly with customers and site teams during commissioning and handover
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong grounding in Electrical, Instrumentation and Automatic Controls
- Good understanding of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics
- Knowledge of national and international electrical standards & regulations
- Proficient in Excel and Word, with exposure to AutoCAD Electrical and EPlan
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, English)
