The Role: Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager, you'll be the operational backbone of the agency,  ensuring day-to-day activities run smoothly while supporting both people and processes. From workflow oversight and HR functions to credit control and managing a growing team, you'll be key to maintaining performance, solving problems, and driving efficiency across the board. You'll also step in to manage the business when directors are unavailable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within an agency or service-based environment
  • Lead and support a remote team of ±10 staff, ensuring performance, deadlines, and collaboration
  • Manage future Operations Assistants, including onboarding, delegation, and performance tracking
  • Handle client escalations and operational issues, providing swift and effective resolutions
  • Oversee credit control processes, including overdue invoice follow-ups and client liaison
  • Drive process improvement and implement systems to optimise operational workflows
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment with business goals and client expectations
  • Identify cost-saving and productivity-enhancing opportunities
  • Manage a team of freelance copywriters
  • Step in for directors as needed to maintain operational continuity

About You

  • 5+ years in operations management, ideally in a digital agency or service-led business
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, comfortable managing distributed teams
  • Proven experience in HR, recruitment, and credit control
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Proactive problem solver who thrives under pressure
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently in a fully remote setup and provide own equipment
