Generator Mechanic

Industrial Generator Mechanic with mechanical and 3-phase electrical experience

I am seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel/petrol Generator Mechanic with 3-phase electrical experience.

You will b responsible for installations, maintenance and repairs of diesel/petrol generators with a focus on 3-phase electrical systems and programming of controllers

Duties:

• Replacement for automatic transfer switches 100A & 800A
• Installation of cabling
• 3 Phase electrical work and control panel building
• Servicing of generators
• Maintaining generators and remote monitoring
• Installing and wiring of motorised breaker, ABB, Hagar, Merlin, Gerin
• Installation and programming of generators

• Running diagnostic tests on generators.
• Analyzing diagnostic test results.
• Replacing generator components, mechanically and electrical.
• Test to gauge performance.
• Performe preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining detailed records of serviced generators.
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Maintaining a parts inventory.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience working on Industrial generators
• Proficiency with 3-phase electrical systems and programming
• Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• Valid driver's license
• Aptitude for mathematics and science.
• Advanced knowledge of generator components.
• Good IT and diagnostic skills.
• Physically fit
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
• Attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
