Shift Supervisor Warehouse Operations (Elandsfontein, Gauteng)

A well-established company with a national footprint in the automotive battery sector is seeking a Shift Supervisor to join their Central Distribution Centre (CDC) team in Elandsfontein, Gauteng. Duties & Responsibilities

Operations & Execution

• Oversee warehouse shift activities,      including receiving, picking, dispatching, and stock control.
• Verify and capture goods received on SAP; perform daily cycle counts and support monthly stock takes.
• Ensure daily dispatches are completed in line with the delivery schedule.
• Coordinate shift transitions and manage efficient handovers.
• Maintain accurate inventory, address discrepancies, and ensure compliance with FIFO principles.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse processes and workflows.

People Management

• Supervise and guide warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
• Facilitate training, development, and performance reviews.
• Manage time and attendance, staff leave, and discipline processes.
• Support and develop a culture of teamwork, productivity, and accountability.

Compliance & Safety

• Enforce health and safety procedures and participate in regular safety inspections.
• Report risks, incidents, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Ensure high housekeeping standards and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Administration

• Complete and submit daily, weekly, and monthly shift reports.
• Track and update KPIs to monitor operational performance.
• Maintain equipment records and liaise with maintenance teams for repairs as needed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements:

• NQF 5 Certificate in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Up to 3 years' experience in a warehousing or logistics supervisory role.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and distribution centre operations.

Package & Remuneration

• Total Cost to Employer (TCOE): R409,000 per annum
