Job Purpose:
Ensure operational efficiency and optimization within the warehouse and distribution environment, aligning with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse & Distribution Management (45%)

    • Develop and implement strategic plans for operational efficiency.
    • Oversee receipt, storage, packing, and dispatch of goods.
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage stock control systems.
    • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
    • Ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
  • Stock Management & Control (15%)

    • Oversee stock receipt processes and system updates.
    • Investigate and resolve stock variances.
  • Compliance (10%)

    • Ensure adherence to company policies, health, and safety regulations.
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Customer Service Management (10%)

    • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Address and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Staff Supervision (10%)

    • Manage performance, training, and development of warehouse staff.
    • Conduct regular performance appraisals and address employee relations matters.
  • Cost & Financial Control (10%)

    • Contribute to budgeting processes and control expenditures within set limits.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Warehouse Management / Distribution / Logistics (NQF 6) - Minimum
  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields - Advantageous

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in Warehouse/Distribution/Logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS Office and warehouse management systems
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing and distribution procedures
