Job Purpose:
Ensure operational efficiency and optimization within the warehouse and distribution environment, aligning with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse & Distribution Management (45%)
- Develop and implement strategic plans for operational efficiency.
- Oversee receipt, storage, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage stock control systems.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
- Stock Management & Control (15%)
- Oversee stock receipt processes and system updates.
- Investigate and resolve stock variances.
- Compliance (10%)
- Ensure adherence to company policies, health, and safety regulations.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Customer Service Management (10%)
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Address and resolve customer issues promptly.
- Staff Supervision (10%)
- Manage performance, training, and development of warehouse staff.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and address employee relations matters.
- Cost & Financial Control (10%)
- Contribute to budgeting processes and control expenditures within set limits.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Warehouse Management / Distribution / Logistics (NQF 6) - Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree in related fields - Advantageous
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in Warehouse/Distribution/Logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role
Technical Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Office and warehouse management systems
- Strong knowledge of warehousing and distribution procedures
