What You'll Be Doing:

  • Engineer Efficiency: Develop strategies to optimise performance, production, and system efficiencies.

  • Analyse & Act: Conduct performance tests, analyse trends, and generate detailed reports with practical recommendations.

  • Quality Control: Ensure measurement instruments and control systems are calibrated, accurate, and trustworthy.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Forecast daily production, monitor critical inputs (fuel, steam, water), and improve control logic to enhance plant performance.

  • Problem Solver: Investigate plant incidents and breakdowns, assign costs, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Compliance Mastery: Oversee waste/process by-product compliance and maintain SHERQ standards.

Your Expertise & Experience:

Qualifications:

  • B-Tech or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Project Management certification

  • GCC Factories highly advantageous

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years in a similar role within a power plant or utilities environment

Skills & Strengths:

  • Deep knowledge of DCS, CMMS, and plant operations

  • Expert in performance modelling, testing protocols, and risk assessments

  • Advanced numerical, analytical, and auditing skills

  • Familiar with SHERQ systems and legislative compliance

  • Strong command of MS Office and performance tools

  • Leadership mindset with sharp communication and facilitation abilities
