Maintenance Manager, Mpumalanga

R800,000-R1 Mil CTC 

This role will be working in the Plant and must be able to be hands-on working with tools having worked on Boilers, Steam System, Power Generation Equipment.

Will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the power plant by managing a team of maintenance technicians and other professionals who work together to ensure that the plant is running smoothly and safely.

Requirements: 

Trade Test Millwright, Electrician or Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma

Practical Hands-on Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation experience ( Having worked on Boilers, Turbines, Steam Systems, Power Generations Equipment ( Will be working in the plant & must be able to do be hands on ) 

2-4 years experience in a similar managerial position

5 years minimum experience in maintenance and engineering roles in an industrial/manufacturing environment

Sound knowledge of boilers, steam systems, power generation equipment, stock control, and store management

CMMS knowledge.

Sound knowledge of OHS Act

Sound knowledge and Experience in Labour Legislation

General Machinery Regulations experience is an advantage.


Key Performance Outputs

Primarily oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance systems, processes, practices, and people to support the operational departmental actions

Align with the operations plan to ensure plant optimization and efficiency, maintenance planning, and capital spares optimization

To lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.

Responsible for ensuring that the facility operates to its maximum efficiency and output.

Responsibilities includes total preventative maintenance,and  managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Skills and competencies:

Sound knowledge of boilers, steam systems, power generation equipment, stock control and store management

CMMS knowledge.

Sound knowledge of OHS Act

Sound knowledge and Experience in Labour Legislation

General Machinery Regulations experience is an advantage

Knowledge and understanding of power plant operations and associated risks.

Knowledge and understanding of SHERQ management systems.
