The Role: Business Development Manager
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Foreshore, Cape Town. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and engaging UK-based SMEs, managing the end-to-end sales cycle, and helping clients access tailored funding solutions. This role is ideal for a driven individual with strong sales instincts and a passion for helping businesses grow.
Key Responsibilities

Source and engage UK-based SMEs to assess their funding needs

Promote trade finance and business loan products tailored to client requirements

Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through to closing

Build and nurture lasting relationships with prospects and clients

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery

Meet and exceed individual sales targets

Maintain accurate records and pipeline updates using CRM tools
About You
- 1-3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in financial services or lending

Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales targets

Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Resilient, self-motivated, and results-oriented

Comfortable with outbound calling and digital sales tools
Nice to Have:

Experience in trade finance, invoice finance, or working with UK-based SMEs

Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms

Previous exposure to a UK client base
