Position: Translator and Reviewer, Spanish English (British and American).
Job Description: Responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of translations and voiceovers. This position requires a high level of proficiency in English, a broad understanding of the respective cultures, and meticulous attention to detail. Sensitivity to language used in educational materials (tone, vocabulary, ) is a plus. The role will involve collaboration with a team of translators, project managers, and other professionals to ensure that translated content meets the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Review of Translated Content:
- Review and correct translations to ensure quality, consistency, and fluency. First translation from Spanish is done with sophisticated AI tools. The crucial part is to review the translation, so it looks as it was totally written in native English. That is why a strong command in Spanish is not needed. Medium knowledge of Spanish is desirable, though.
- Review voiceovers to ensure clarity, correct pronunciation, intonation, and rhythm.
- Identify and report any technical issues, errors, or faults.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Collect user feedback to make necessary adjustments.
- Perform final reviews of new content.
Job Requirements:
- Education and Experience:
- University degree in Translation, Philology, Didactics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in translation, translation review, e-learning product quality control, or similar roles.
- Advanced proficiency in the working languages (English-Spanish).
- Advanced knowledge of style guides and quality standards in educational content translation.
- Ability to easily adapt to and manage software and new technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
