Job Opportunity: Regional SHEQ Manager (Inland Region )

Introduction:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regional SHEQ Manager to provide essential Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSE) support across multiple sites in the Inland Region. In this role, you will support daily operations by coaching, teaching, and training field personnel on safe operating behaviors to ensure a culture of safety and compliance.

Qualifications Required:

  • SAMTRAC Certification
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Certification
  • Incident Investigation Certification
  • First Aid Level 3
  • Legal Liability Certification
  • Basic Fire Fighting
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Valid Drivers Licence (Code 08)
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is beneficial but not mandatory.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicle checklists and follow up on POs and payments for training and inductions.
  • Compile comprehensive risk assessments, method statements, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Update PRA and EIA registers regularly.
  • Conduct employee inductions and compile lessons learned.
  • Manage contractor inductions, oversee client safety files, and close out improvements.
  • Investigate incidents, report near misses, and conduct daily depot inspections.
  • Take SHE files for approval and continuously improve SHEQ systems.
  • Ensure organizational structure (organogram) and legal registers are current and signed off.
  • Oversee contractor management, ensure documents are current, and manage contractor permit issuance.
  • Perform weekly site visits, conduct planned task observations, and host regular SHEQ meetings.
