Duties & Responsibilities
Administer
The transfers administrator is responsible for supplying attorneys with admin invoices and advising the attorneys and legal department of transfers. They confirm if there are any special levies or levy increases and check with the legal department if accounts are in arrears or show a legal status. Once transfers have gone through information sheets, these are sent to customer service consultants. The transfer administrator opens new client accounts on the operating database and changes the master file accordingly. Responsible for performing journal adjustments.
Calculate
The transfer administrator is responsible for calculating transfer clearance figures and issuing this to the conveyancers and attorneys. They must attend to extended statistics that need to be recalculated and ensure that relevant outstanding legal fees are included in the calculation.
Furnish
Clearance certificates must be issued. The employee is responsible for communicating with the conveyancer, owner, and purchaser regarding fees and acting on information received. The employee is also responsible for communicating with internal clients as necessary.
Report
Report on the number of transfers and any problems experienced in the department to the Transfers Manager (2LC to the Head of Transfers and Legal Recoveries).
Qualifications
- Grade 12 High School Diploma or GED with maths and accounting.
- A degree/Diploma is advantageous.
Experience
- Experience with Windeed is advantageous.
- Experience in Sectional Title Management Act and HOA
- Experience with Pastel is necessary.
