• An engineering firm specializing in roads, bridges, and civil construction seeks a Quantity Surveyor to arrange final allowables for Site Agents and Divisional Managers, and finalize work code allocators, and trade codes per item. 

• Change split rate worksheets for ancillary items, create and update MOS worksheets, and daywork sheets.
• Create extra works worksheets change resource codes as required and check all unit costs.
• You will need to use WBS worksheets and BOQ to programme projects using CPA.
• Apply resource leveling.
• Update the program monthly and submit progress to the Site agent.
• Update programme to incorporate an extension of time claims.
• Do reporting, manage measurements, do cost management, and contractual management.
• Check all benchmarks, survey beacons, and existing connection points for accuracy.
• Report any discrepancies from the plan or existing information.
• Check levels of the previous day, especially where work has to continue.
• Ensure that each team has line and level in place to start work timeously.
• Locate all indicated existing services report line and level clashes.
• Check and observe level and line during pipelaying.
• Report any deviations immediately. Responsible for the recovery of survey material.
• Min a professional diploma in Quantity Surveying, together with a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience.
