Job Title: Information Systems (IS) Manager
Location: Cape Town
Salary Range: R48,000 R50,000 per month
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (with a six-month probation period)

A well-established non-profit organisation, focused on accelerating the growth of the green economyone that is low carbon, resource-efficient, and socially inclusiveis seeking an experienced Information Systems (IS) Manager. The organisation works closely with green technology businesses and investors to remove barriers to investment and growth.

Role Overview

The Information Systems (IS) Manager will be responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance, and security of the organisation's IT infrastructure and systems. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with strategic planning abilities to ensure seamless integration, system performance, and security compliance. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee IT operations, and develop data engineering solutions to meet organisational data and information needs.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee and maintain the organisations IT infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

  • Ensure regular system updates, backups, and overall system health.

Security & Risk Management

  • Implement and monitor IT security policies and procedures.

  • Regularly audit systems for threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Ensure full compliance with data protection regulations.

Project Management & Support

  • Lead IT-related projects including new software/hardware implementations.

  • Support departments in assessing and implementing tech solutions.

  • Ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.

Strategic IT Planning & Development

  • Manage vendors for procurement of IT-related products and services.

  • Align IT strategies with organisational goals.

  • Propose and implement technological improvements.

  • Train staff on system usage and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Postgraduate qualification is advantageous.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or similar.

  • Hands-on experience in IT hardware and infrastructure management.

  • Experience with IT budgeting and financial planning.

  • Strong understanding of networks, systems, data & risk management, IT security, and basic coding.

  • Experience with Zoho platform is an added advantage.
