INTERNAL ADVISOR / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE 

SALES

  • Discovery Advisor 360 to be viewed daily to obtain sales opportunities.

Advise on overall portfolio with a view to upgrading to latest benefits.

  • Network and obtain referrals and leads from existing client base with view to capturing full Discovery
  • product suit which will include Life, Invest, Insure, Health, Vitality and Banking all under the Clients umbrella and broker code.
  • This would mean change of brokers over to the client on existing Discovery business to advise correctly
  • without any duplication.
  • Always maintain lapse ratio below 10%.
  • Face to face meetings with walk in clients.

PREPARATION

  • Portfolio preparation:

a) Obtain client consent or authority to access entire portfolio to be properly

prepared.

b) Astute downloads and portfolio preparation

c) Identify Shortfalls and Opportunities

  • Servicing Alteration Quotes to be done prior to appointments.

COMPLIANCE

  • Drafting Financial Needs Analysis, Record of Advice, Risk Profile, Replacement
  • Comparisons.
  • Ensuring that all Compliance documentation is saved on X-plan and that compliance
  • documentation and Financial Needs Analysis (FNA)accompany all new business and
  • client servicing. Checking that the Record of Advice (ROA) and FNA mirror one another.

GENERAL ADMIN

  • Checking and updating of client contact details at all times.
  • Creating and following up of TASKS & THREADS. Keeping up to date (No overdues).
  • Handling of queries telephonic and e-mail.
  • Conservation and retention of business.
  • Liaising with clients regarding counter offer letters.
  • Continual monitoring and tracking of the new business and servicing pipeline and
  • following up on new business and outstanding servicing requirements with Broker
  • consultant and Franchise.
  • Database Management and ensuring reviews are completed on a minimum of 1 year
  • cycle. Actively assessing, identifying and checking clients portfolio and opportunities.
  • Arranging appointments for Advisors if necessary (ensuring schedules are attached and
  • quality appointments are made).

TRAINING

  • Compulsory to attend office meeting and in-house training.
  • The minimum CPD Points must be maintained by attending training sessions and ongoing training
  • towards a full CFP qualification.
  • Fit & Proper Training as per Board notice 190 (2017)
  • Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
  • POPI
  • FICA
  • DIT Portal courses to be done weekly
  • Attendance to all Professional Development Days and product launches.
  • Keep up to date with the latest legislation and Industry Trends
