Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair structural components of mechanical systems.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, arc welding), including cutting, grinding, and shaping metal components.
• Diagnose and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
• Maintain conveyor systems, including assembly and fault detection.
• Work with boilers, steam systems, bearings, shafts, pipework, and valves.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:

• Trade Test Certificate (Mechanical Fitting) Red Seal preferred.
• N3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a refinery, manufacturing, or FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of ISO, HACCP, and GMP standards (if applicable to food-grade processing).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong adherence to health and safety regulations, including PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures.
