Purpose

Ensure compliance with SHE policies, procedures, and regulations while promoting a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Protection & Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain records and ensure legal requirements are met.

Health & Safety Management

  • Provide SHE consulting services and training.
  • Investigate incidents and implement preventative measures.
  • Enforce compliance with safety procedures.

Environmental & Energy Management

  • Conduct environmental assessments and implement improvements.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives.

Risk & People Management

  • Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement controls.
  • Support SHE representatives and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric) and a National Diploma in Safety Management (preferred) or SAMTRAC.
  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing or related field.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of OHS Act, ISO 9001/14001/45001.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
