Our client delivers climate engineering solutions and relies on a well-run office stores function to support field teams and projects. This role sits within the Admin and Stock function at the Craighall Park office.

The Role: Office Storeman
You will manage day-to-day office stores operations to ensure the right spares and equipment are received, recorded, stored, picked, and dispatched on time. The role exists to support stock administration and provide dependable back-office support that keeps projects moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage inventory records, stock rotation, and control principles

  • Receive goods: check deliveries against POs/invoices, inspect for damage, and note discrepancies

  • Pack equipment and spares into labelled, designated locations once signed in and recorded

  • Pick and issue stock accurately from picking slips/POs/quotes; update stock cards

  • Prepare items for dispatch: pack securely, label correctly, and ready goods for site teams

  • Assist with monthly stocktakes and flag low stock levels proactively

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and workshop; use space efficiently

  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements; perform basic counts and space calculations

  • Follow warehouse procedures for receiving, storing, issuing, dispatch, safety, and security

About You

  • 3+ years office admin/stores experience, ideally within a technical/engineering environment

  • Matric; Microsoft compliance or similar training advantageous

  • Valid Code 08 drivers license

  • Comfortable with ERP/stock systems (Pastel or similar a plus)

  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and record-keeping discipline

  • Clear communicator, reliable, punctual, and a team player

  • Good time management, problem-solving mindset, and initiative

  • Safety conscious and physically fit to assist with loading/offloading when needed

  • English fluency; Afrikaans helpful

Additional Details

  • Employment starts on a 6-month fixed-term contract (no medical aid or pension during this period)

  • Benefits added post-contract period upon renewal/appointment

  • Reports to the Purchasing and Inventory Administrator
