Event Sponsorship Sales Executive
Location: Cape Town – Hybrid (Office based in Bergvliet, ±2 days per week)

Role Overview
The Event Sponsorship Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sponsorship revenue across a portfolio of events by identifying, pitching, negotiating, and closing sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
This role is focused on outbound B2B sales, building long-term sponsor relationships, and consistently achieving sponsorship revenue targets. The successful candidate will be commercially driven, confident engaging senior decision-makers, and experienced in selling event sponsorship packages, brand partnerships, and related commercial offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship Sales & Revenue Generation

Proactively identify and secure new sponsorship opportunities for events

Sell event sponsorship packages, brand partnerships, and related commercial offerings

Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, closing, and follow-up

Achieve and exceed monthly and event-based sponsorship revenue targets

Upsell and cross-sell sponsorship packages where appropriate
Client & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate sponsors and partners

Act as the main point of contact for sponsors throughout the sales process

Ensure sponsor requirements are clearly communicated and aligned internally

Maintain accurate client and pipeline data within the CRM system
Market Engagement & Collaboration

Conduct outbound sales via phone, email, LinkedIn, and meetings
-
Identify potential sponsors aligned to each events audience and positioning
-
Collaborate with internal marketing, events, and operations teams to deliver sponsor value
-
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and sponsorship opportunities
Required Experience & Skills
Essential
-
Proven experience in sponsorship sales (events, conferences, exhibitions, media, or similar)

Strong B2B sales background, ideally selling to mid-to-senior-level decision-makers

Demonstrated ability to close sponsorship deals and work to revenue targets

Confident outbound sales approach with excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to manage multiple sponsorship opportunities simultaneously

CRM experience and structured sales pipeline management
Advantageous

Experience selling event sponsorships, exhibition space, delegate packages, or advertising

Background in conferences, exhibitions, media, sports, or live events

Experience working in a hybrid or fast-paced sales environment
