The Role: Commercial Lines – Claims Handler
You will manage end-to-end administration of commercial claims, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery. Working closely with clients, brokers, and underwriters, you'll play a key role in maintaining strong relationships and efficient claims processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and finalise commercial claims from instruction to settlement

  • Apply policy terms and conditions accurately

  • Maintain records and update task management systems

  • Liaise with clients, brokers, and underwriters

  • Conduct follow-ups to keep stakeholders informed

  • Generate management reports and identify fraud risks

  • Ensure compliance with FAIS, POPIA, FSCA, and TCF principles

About You

  • Minimum 3 years' experience handling commercial short-term insurance claims

  • Solid knowledge of commercial policy wording and claims procedures

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Able to communicate professionally with clients, brokers, and internal teams

  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work under pressure

  • Experience with relevant systems and regulatory frameworks is essential
