Medical Director — IVF Clinic in Mid West USA Full Time Employed or Partnership Track

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced reproductive endocrinologist, REI, to lead the clinical operations of our IVF programme. The Medical Director will hold overall responsibility for clinical standards, patient outcomes, laboratory oversight, and physician leadership, while working closely with the executive team on strategic and commercial direction.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active caseload including IVF, IUI, egg freezing, PGT cycles, donor egg and gestational carrier programmes
  • Oversee all ART protocols and ensure clinical consistency across the programme
  • Review and approve clinical policies, consent documentation, and treatment pathways
  • Monitor KPIs including SART-reported outcomes, cancellation rates, and complication rates
  • Ensure compliance with ASRM guidelines, state-specific regulations, and FDA requirements for donor tissue

Leadership & Operational Responsibilities

  • Line management of clinical staff including attending physicians, fellows, NPs, and RNs
  • Chair the clinical governance and quality committee
  • Lead peer review, M&M review, and ongoing clinical audit
  • Collaborate with the Lab Director on laboratory accreditation (CAP/CLIA)
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing of clinical hires
  • Partner with operations and finance on capacity planning, scheduling, and clinical revenue drivers

Strategic & External Responsibilities

  • Represent the clinic externally — referring physician relationships, patient-facing media, conference presence
  • Contribute to business development including donor egg programme, embryo banking, and third-party reproduction services
  • Support the executive team on growth initiatives, new service lines, and any partnership or acquisition activity
  • Engage with SART and ASRM reporting obligations

Requirements

  • MD or DO; board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (ABOG)
  • Active and unrestricted medical licence in any USA State (we will support with new State licence if required)
  • Minimum 5 years post-fellowship clinical experience in a high-volume ART programme
  • Proven experience leading a clinical team in an IVF setting
  • Strong outcomes track record; familiarity with SART benchmarking
  • Experience with PGT-A/M/SR programmes preferred
  • Fellowship director or academic experience an advantage but not required
