Clinical Geneticist (Medical Doctor) – Part-Time / Hybrid| Western Australia | Partnership Pathway

We are seeking a motivated Clinical Geneticist to join our growing genomics service in Western Australia.This is a flexible, part-time opportunity (8–12 hours per week initially), with strong potential to expand to full-time as demand grows. A partnership opportunity may be considered after 6–12 months for the right candidate. 

Structure

• Majority of clinical work conducted onsite in WA
• Some flexibility for remote components
• Well suited to a clinician already working in a hospital or private genetics role seeking additional scope

Role Overview

You will play a key clinical and strategic role in the service.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting clinical genetics consultations and patient assessments
• Providing clinical oversight and interpretation of genomic test results
• Liaising with referring practitioners where clinical context or discussion is required
• Supporting development of clinical protocols, reporting standards, and quality systems
• Participating in case discussions and clinical meetings
• Contributing actively to service development and growth

Engagement in service development is essential — this role is designed to grow, and your involvement will directly influence expansion of the service. 

Essential Requirements

• Medical Practitioner with specialist registration via AHPRA
• Fellowship in Clinical Genetics (FRACP) or recognised equivalent specialist qualification
• Medicare provider eligibility
• Experience in clinical genomic result interpretation
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
