Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Web Developer & US SEO Specialist with web development experience to strengthen our companys online presence and drive high-quality local leads. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of proven experience in US SEO for service-based or multi-location businesses, along with hands-on technical SEO and web development expertise. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and optimize websites, ensure fast loading speeds and SEO-friendly code, implement schema markup, and manage on-page and off-page SEO strategies. You will also optimize and maintain Google Business Profiles (GBP), conduct keyword research for local intent, and collaborate with marketing and content teams to align SEO initiatives with business goals. The role requires troubleshooting technical website issues, managing integrations and plugins, updating and maintaining web pages, and monitoring performance using tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager. You will generate regular reports on keyword rankings, traffic, and campaign performance. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a strong understanding of local SEO ranking factors and proven success in optimizing high-competition metro areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize websites with technical SEO best practices.
- Ensure proper site structure, fast loading speeds, and SEO-friendly code.
- Implement and manage schema markup to improve visibility and click-through rates.
- Troubleshoot technical website issues and manage integrations/plugins.
- Update, edit, and maintain website pages for accuracy and performance.
- Optimize on-page elements (metadata, headers, internal linking) and manage WordPress structure.
- Execute off-page SEO, including backlinks, local citation cleanup, and NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across directories.
- Develop and implement local (USA) SEO strategies and optimize Google Business Profiles (GBP), including posts, categories, reviews, photos, and Q&A, to enhance engagement and local authority.
- Conduct keyword research and optimize content for local intent.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align SEO strategies with business goals.
- Monitor performance using SEMrush, Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager; generate reports.
- Create regular reports on keyword rankings, traffic, and campaign results.
- Perform other tasks related to the role.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with marketing and content teams.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in US SEO for service-based or multi-location businesses.
- Web development experience with strong technical SEO skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical website issues.
- Tech Generalists can be considered as long as they can learn quickly and handle assigned tasks.
- Proficient in WordPress, including editing pages, managing plugins, and basic site optimization.
- Strong understanding of Googles local (USA) ranking factors and GBP best practices.
- Strong on-page SEO skills: metadata, headers, internal linking, site structure.
- Experience with off-page SEO, backlinks, local citations, and NAP consistency.
- Skilled in schema markup, structured data, and website troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Google Admin tools and other back-end SEO configurations.
- Proficient with SEO tools: SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
- Strong keyword research, content optimization, analytical, and reporting skills (Excel and other tools).
- Reliable, with a positive attitude and excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated success ranking local landing pages and optimizing GBP for high-competition metro areas (e.g., New York, New Jersey) highly preferred.
- Experience managing SEO campaigns across multiple locations or service categories, highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus.
- Availability to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST (New York time)
- Sound judgment and the capacity to comprehend and execute instructions promptly with minimal supervision.
- Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
