Job Summary:
We are seeking a confident, personable, and highly communicative Remote Insurance Renewal & Appointment Coordinator to support an established insurance team with client outreach, policy renewals, and cross-selling opportunities. This role will primarily involve contacting existing clients (not cold calling) to identify renewal, policy update, or additional insurance needs and then connecting qualified opportunities with the in-house team. The ideal candidate has excellent spoken English, a professional and pleasant communication style, confidence on the phone, and the ability to create a positive impression within the first few seconds of a conversation. Previous sales or customer service experience is preferred but not required; candidates who demonstrate strong communication skills, confidence, and potential will be considered. The client will provide training and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct warm outbound calls to existing life insurance clients whose policies are approaching renewal or may require an update.
- Contact existing health insurance clients to identify potential life insurance cross-selling opportunities.
- Explain the purpose of the outreach clearly and professionally.
- Engage clients in a friendly, confident, and consultative manner.
- Identify clients who are interested in renewing, modifying, adding, or exploring insurance coverage.
- Schedule appointments with the appropriate in-house insurance team using a calendar/appointment-setting system.
- Accurately document outreach results, client interest, follow-ups, and scheduled appointments.
- Follow up with clients when appropriate and help move qualified opportunities from the initial outreach stage to the in-house team.
- Potentially assist with inbound calls and appointment rescheduling as the role develops.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in every interaction.
- Meet established appointment and performance targets as the program develops.
- Participate in training, coaching, and ongoing performance development.
- Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
- Clear, professional, and easily understandable communication.
- Strong confidence and comfort communicating with clients by phone.
- Pleasant and professional personality with strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Previous sales, appointment-setting, customer service, or client-facing experience is preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, systems, and insurance-related concepts.
- Ability to remain professional and engaging during client conversations.
- Reliable work history and demonstrated employment stability.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, calendars, and basic software tools.
- Insurance experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a positive and professional attitude.
- Strong follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow established processes.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and workflows.
- Creative, resourceful, and proactive with an out-of-the-box mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, document management).
- Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs.
