                                                       Ground School Manager (GSM) 

Job Highlights:

The GSM oversees the academic and theoretical training programs for the AHFS. This role ensures that all ground instruction aligns with military aviation standards, operational readiness goals, regulatory compliance and academic demands. The GSM leads a team of instructors (teachers), coordinates curriculum development, and supports cadet progression through rigorous academic and technical training.

Key responsibilities:

  • Development of the ground School program include syllabuses, timetables, presentations and all teaching materials.
  • Supervise the planning, delivery, and evaluation of ground school courses including aerodynamics, navigation, meteorology, aviation regulations, aircraft systems etc.
  • Ensure all training materials and instruction meet military aviation standards and operational requirements.
  • Manage. Qualify and mentor the ground school instructors, ensuring instructional quality and consistency.
  • Coordinate with flight operations and maintenance division to align academic training with practical readiness.
  • Monitor cadet performance, conduct academic reviews, and implement remedial programs as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with military training directives and aviation regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and classroom logistics.
  • Implement safety protocols and uphold discipline within the academic environment.
  • Report on training outcomes, instructor performance, and curriculum effectiveness to command leadership.

Threshold Conditions:

  • Master's degree in aerospace engineering or a related technical field.
  • Instructional design or curriculum development experience.
  • Proven experience in leading technological or professional training programs.
  • Proficiency in the relevant fields of studies; mathematics, physics, aerodynamics, meteorology, navigation, regulations, aircraft systems, human factors, English etc.
  • Familiarity with ICAO, NATO, or national military aviation standards.
  • Military aviation experience or prior service in a training command (preferred)
  • Clearance eligibility for handling classified training materials.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Deep understanding of aviation theory and military training doctrine
  • Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and instructional technologies.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and operational integrity.
  • English proficiency level - C2.
