For our client, one of the leading distribution companies in Bulgaria, we are seeking an experienced Division Manager.
Key responsibilities
Develop a short-term (2-3 year) business plan, defining objectives and growth strategies for the business, profitability, and development of the division
Take responsibility for sales, purchasing, and trade marketing activities, maximizing profitability and driving growth in line with the company's vision and values
Negotiate with suppliers on terms, order volumes, pricing, quality guarantees, trade marketing, and investments
Prepare and own the annual purchasing (sales) plan for each business unit, category, customer group, and sales channel
Adjust and develop commercial and marketing strategies, including route-to-market, commercial policy, payment terms, and trade marketing investments
Approve the framework and participate in annual negotiations with key customers
Approve all commercial and marketing investments, as well as operating expenses
Define clear SMART objectives, KPIs, and additional targets for the entire division
Oversee receivables and inventory management
Hold regular meetings with managers to discuss performance, profitability, team motivation, efficiency, and operational processes
Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget, approve it, and monitor its execution across sales targets, gross margin targets, operating expenses, and profit targets by business type
Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and propose initiatives to increase turnover and strengthen market position
Propose, negotiate, and develop the commercial and marketing strategy for new businesses within the division
Monitor team productivity, analyze sales performance and profitability, and align future strategies accordingly
Take responsibility for the selection and onboarding of directly reporting managers
Supervise team leaders through regular meetings to monitor progress and improvement plans
Develop and implement KPIs, and propose salary, remuneration, and bonus schemes
Motivate teams to achieve required results within established timelines
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of management experience in sales and trade marketing
Proven track record of achieving strong sales and profitability results
Knowledge and experience in digital sales and marketing is an advantage
Excellent computer literacy
Excellent command of English, written and spoken
Strong results orientation and flexibility in decision-making
Experience in budget planning and management
Strong interpersonal and employee coaching skills
Knowledge and experience using specialized business management software
Category B driving licence
