We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Country Sales Manager (CSM) to lead our client's efforts in the Greek market. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in FMCG and the beverage industry. If you have a passion for driving sales, optimizing distribution, and expanding market share, this role is designed for you. As the CSM, you will spearhead the execution of key strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets, cultivate strong client relationships, and guide a dynamic team to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Objectives: Drive sales volumes, distribution, and SOM growth within the Greek market. Lead your team to meet and exceed revenue targets and KPIs, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance across all regions and sales channels.
  • Marketing & Trade Strategy: Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to develop and implement strategies that cater to the specific needs of the Greek market. Oversee the execution of high-impact events, sponsorship, and other key trade marketing initiatives.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting: Gather, analyse, and report on market data, including customer behavior, sales channels, market segmentation, and competitive landscape. Monitor KPIs, provide sales results, and offer real-time corrective actions to ensure the optimal execution of sales and marketing plans.
  • Sales & Distribution Management: Organize and optimize sales, distribution, and merchandising activities. Develop a robust and cost-effective sales and distribution system, ensuring the seamless execution of key account plans.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met, including payment terms and debt management. Lead the contracting process with a focus on long-term client satisfaction and growth.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team. Collaborate with HR on employee development, set and evaluate KPIs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and motivation.
  • Promotional Activities: Lead the placement and maintenance of promotional materials, ensuring they align with the broader marketing and trade marketing objectives to drive sales and brand visibility.

Position Requirements:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing sales teams, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire high performance.
  • Results-Oriented: A track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets, with a focus on driving growth in FMCG and beverage markets.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Strong customer care focus, with the ability to assess client needs, provide effective solutions, and build lasting relationships. Experience in managing client contracts, negotiations, and fulfilling contractual obligations is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in market analysis, KPI monitoring, and sales reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the FMCG sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management role, preferably within the beverage industry. A deep understanding of the Greek market dynamics in FMCG and beverages is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on sales systems and analytics tools.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required, with additional languages being a plus.
