For our client, a multinational chain of fast food restaurants, we are looking for a Managing Director / General Manager, based in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Position Description:

The position is responsible for leading a cross functional team in order to deliver the goals in the different aspects of the business, such as development, marketing and sales. The position is also responsible for managing the Net Restaurant Growth of the countries in charge, providing logistic solutions to deliver fast food products to the restaurant with the best cost benefit possible and improving the operations at a restaurant level to ensure the Brand Standards are followed and executed correctly. Management responsibilities for very diverse activities within a major part of the business unit, through subordinate managers. The position partners with local teams to lead the openings of restaurants in Kosovo and Albania by managing each stage of the pipeline process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development strategy in the market
  • Responsible for overseeing a competitive marketing strategy
  • Responsible for managing a best value/cost supply chain strategy
  • Responsible for overseeing strategy to increase profitability
  • Guides and coaches cross functional teams
  • Conducts negotiation to open new restaurants
  • Provides logistics solutions to deliver the fast food products to the restaurants with the best cost benefit possible
  • Ensures the Brand Standards are followed and executed correctly

Essential Duties:

  • Establishes the country strategy and the main management routines to be executed
  • Conducts team meetings to develop management routines to track the brand standards and objectives
  • Coordinates operational and marketing initiatives in the system

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing franchise strategy
  • Skilled in establishing franchise strategies to improve business performance
  • Ability to lead and apply organizational and change theories to influence change within the organization
  • 4 to 6 years previous experience; experience in QSR industry/Franchise Operations preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to negotiate at higher levels to impact significant business outcomes
