About the job Retail Manager

The Retail Manager is accountable for directing the sales, operations and customer service strategies and activities in all retail stores to meet market and Apple standards in alignment with the company's vision. S/He leads the team through continuous feedback and coaching, follows up regularly on sales and stock performances and implement development and expansion plans.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Technical and Operations

  • - Define and develop the sales and operations strategy in alignment with the company's vision and key priorities and in coordination with the General Manager;
  • - Develop the stores goals and objectives and follow up on implementation while abiding by set policies, procedures and working standards;
  • - Work with the GM to set the yearly budget of the division in line with business plans and needs, optimize costs and justify budget amendments accordingly;
  • - Establish sales and stores budgets, set incentive and commission plans and cascade to the team accordingly;
  • - Achieve and exceed internal KPIs namely margin, markdown, average transaction value (ATV), units per transaction (UPT) among others;
  • - Promote the company's existing brands in stores and introduce new products to the market;
  • - Approve the brand mix and oversee smooth implementation of opening, closing and renovation of shops;
  • - Oversee the sales performance of assigned stores, prepare sales forecasts and take corrective actions in coordination with other departments when needed;
  • - Prepare and issue periodic reports on store performance and other metrics supporting operational decisions;
  • - Conduct store visits and periodic managers meetings to review shops performance, marketing activities and staff training and report to senior management;
  • - Review and monitor stock level reports and coordinate with related departments to take appropriate actions in a timely manner;
  • - Maintain regular communication and feedback with the Product Manager to ensure a right allocation of products in the stores;
  • - Work closely with the HR Department on staffing needs and training plans;
  • - Monitor schedules and process leave requests for Store/Assistant Store Managers while securing an optimal floor coverage at all times;
  • - Perform periodic market studies and competitors analysis report to headhunt for opportunities and best practices and raise recommendations to Management;
  • - Follow up on the audit and mystery shopper results, tackle improvements and aim for higher rankings;
  • - Attend to operational problems and customer complaints as high priority and ensure operational effectiveness and service excellence;
  • - Plan, control and administer the marketing spending in coordination with the Regional Marketing Manager and Value Added Distribution;
  • - Execute quarterly marketing plans;
  • - Prepare and roll out promotional / opening campaigns and new product launches and report accordingly;
  • - Collect and update the consumer database;
  • - Execute Social Media presence;
  • - Manage and develop the Loyalty Program;
  • - Promote consumer engagement via newsletters through Salesforce Marketing Cloud;
  • - Manage agencies and organize ATL and BTL activities;

Talent Development

  • - Lead and coach the team cultivating empowerment and ownership;
  • - Develop capabilities and secure a solid succession plan;
  • - Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs and oversee development plans.


 Bachelors degree in Business Administration or any other related field
Experience At least 8 years of relevant experience
