Senior Finance Specialist
The Senior Finance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of the organization by managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights. This position offers the opportunity to develop skills and experience that can lead to a promotion into the Finance & Administration Manager role.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with international financial reporting standards.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations for cost optimization.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and external stakeholders.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all local and international tax regulations, including timely filing of tax returns and payments and custom.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, ensuring all requirements are met.
Strategic Contributions:
- Assist in the preparation of long-term financial plans and strategies to support business objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Finance & Administration Manager on financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead or support financial projects, such as system upgrades, process improvements, or mergers and acquisitions.
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Act as a mentor to junior finance team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Serve as a deputy to the Finance & Administration Manager, stepping into their role as needed.
- Contribute to building a high-performing and motivated finance team.
Administration and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Support administrative operations, including payroll processing and employee expense management.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as HR, Legal, and Operations, to ensure seamless integration of financial processes.
