For our Client, infrastructure fund who is focused on NEW WIND POWER PLANT PROJECT, we publish an advertisement for the position:

                                    COUNTRY MANAGER (m/f)

                            Work Location: PODGORICA and ŠAVNIK (Montenegro)

POSITION OVERVIEW: Country Manager will support the Investment and Delivery Teams providing local support for the development activities of renewable energy Projects in Montenegro.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop relationships with local stakeholders and coordinate project work with local developers.

Support the Project team in development tasks like landowners identification and negotiations, attendance to meeting with local stakeholders, follow up of permit/consents applications etc.

Interface and coordination with suppliers and construction companies regarding importation of goods into the country.

Coordination of local logistics for supply of equipment and materials for the project ensuring local requirements are fulfilled and required support from the Owner is provided timely as required by suppliers and contractors.

Provide support with identification of local suppliers and service providers required for the project.

In coordination with the investment management team, design action plans to address any project development, construction and operation issues that may emerge.

Identify, communicate and suggest mitigation actions with regards to project risks at any stage of development.

Review and interpretation of any local language document relevant to the Clients renewable energy projects.

Review and comment on any project related contract in Montenegro.

Participate and monitor stakeholder engagement plans.

Facilitate and attend meetings with potential partners, developers, advisors, and any other institution as may be required for the existing project.

Liaison with Government Officials/Institutions.

Be knowledgeable of regulatory frameworks, local regulations, permits, authorizations and any other consents required for the development of renewable energy projects.

Monitor all pertinent macro, microeconomics, competitor and industry trends impacting the renewable energy sector in Montenegro.

Work closely and in coordination with transaction leader in the investment management team in the support of origination and sourcing of deals.

Permits liaison with relevant stakeholders.

Facilitate and attend meetings with banks, advisors, contractors and any other institution as may be required during origination, development, construction or operation phase.

Management and coordination of due diligence process, including direct contact with advisors, consultants or any party required for the complete evaluation of potential projects.

Support the HR Manager in relation with the selection and management of the local aspects of the resources recruited in Montenegro for the development and execution of Projects.

Lead office in Montenegro, including coordination of all required local tasks to allow the local office to be functional and provide the services required to the Projects and the Corporate Teams at head office.

QUALIFICATION:

Engineering Degree and / or Business Administration or Economics.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role and at least 12 years of total working experience.

JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Deep knowledge of the renewable energy/construction industry in Montenegro.

Experience with foreign bank funding as EBRD, EIB, World Bank and reporting to the same.

Knowledge of relevant industry players i.e. developers, consultants, service providers.

Commercial and financial acumen.

Advanced interpersonal skills.

Fluency in written / spoken local and English languages.
