We are looking for a Promotional Desk at Italian Trade Agency in Valona city.
1. Requirements, qualifications and experience for the admission of candidates
The pre-selected candidates must have the following requirements, qualifications and experience on the date of submission of the application:
- Have reached the age of 18;
- Have obtained a three-year or specialist degree, preferably in Economics;
- Law, Political Science;
- Previous work experience with Italian, local or foreign companies or institutions in
- Albania, in the sector of promotion, marketing and commercialisation of products and services and in the use of European funds. Previous experience with Italian entities and/or companies will be an advantage;
- Good knowledge of the local economic context of Southern Albania, as well as of the network of institutional and private interlocutors of interest to Italian companies;
- Professional qualifications will be an advantage if relevant;
- In addition to Albanian, they must have an excellent knowledge of the Italian language. A good knowledge of English will be an advantage;
- Good knowledge of information technology and the main operating systems;
- Residence in Albania for at least two years;
- They have not received criminal convictions and do not have pending charges in Albania, Italy and other countries.
2. Description of the assignment
The responsibility of the selected candidate at the ICE-Agency Desk in Vlora will be to intensify the collection, analysis and processing of strategic and operational information in Southern Albania, with a particular focus on national programs for the economic and tourist development of the coast.
The desk will act as an antenna, promoting the participation of Italian operators in development programs through operational relationships with local bodies responsible and/or involved in the planning and implementation of industrial development policies (both in the context of pre-enlargement and in that of bilateral and multilateral development cooperation),also through the use of funds and other national and international financing tools.
The selected candidate will carry out, under the direction of the Director of ICE Tirana, the following main, although not exclusive, tasks in the promotion of "Made in Italy" and marketing assistance to Italian companies interested in exporting and investing in Southern Albania, as well as to companies interested in work projects to be started through the use of European funds.
A. Assistance to companies:
- Analysis of the Southern Albania market;
- Identification and analysis of the most promising sectors for Italian companies;
- Updating and preparation of mailings of Albanian operators;
- Drafting of market analyses and sector reports for Italian companies and associations;
- Identification and selection of counterparts for Italian companies operating in the various product sectors;
- Preparation of personalised assistance proposals and management of related activities;
- Organisation of promotional events such as: fairs, seminars, workshops, b2b,
- meetings, training courses, missions of operators/journalists, etc.;
- Analysis, monitoring and dissemination of information relating to commercial opportunities, national, European and international funding, calls for tenders, contracts, etc.;
- Creation of content to feed the institutional website and the various social media (X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.);
- Support to Trade Analysts and the Director of the competent ICE Office, in preparing documentation for Italian institutions, in planning promotional activities and in managing contacts with;
B. Administration:
- Database updating (Italian and local companies);
- Registration of management data, document archiving, invoicing of services etc;
- Preparation of documentation used in relations with companies;
- Accounting/administrative management of promotional initiatives under the responsibility;
- Secretarial activities where required;
- Support to the competent ICE office in relation to other tasks appropriately assigned by the Director.
Your representative at the ICE Desk may be required, for the tasks performed and for the performance of his/her work, to travel on missions in Albania and outside Albania.
