Job Title: Country Manager

 Role Overview

Country Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing the day-to-day operations of the company's subsidiary, ensuring that all departments function efficiently and align with the company's strategic objectives.

The Country Manager effectively leads the cooperation with the company's HQ departments to support the implementation of development, investment, financial, and sales strategies. The Country Manager establishes the necessary conditions for the company's growth and development within the local market.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  1. Manage day-to-day operations of the company within the country to ensure all departments work efficiently and align with the company's objectives.
  2. Work closely with the headquarters (HQ) departments to support the implementation of company strategies in development, investment, finance, and sales.
  3. Oversee the management of the company's office, ensuring smooth back-office processes and administrative decisions, resolutions, and announcements are made as needed.
  4. Lead the direct-report teams, fostering a positive company culture and motivating employees to achieve high performance.
  5. Provide the necessary tools, knowledge, and best practices to support the company's employees, ensuring they have what they need to succeed.
  6. Ensures and manages all aspects of the employee lifecycle within the local subsidiary in collaboration with the Matrix Manager (recruitment, onboarding, annual feedback, improvement plans, disciplinary steps, contract termination).
  7. Ensure effective communication within the teams across all business levels (local and international), promoting transparency and collaboration.
  8. Ensure that operations across all departments are functioning smoothly and in line with company targets and standards.
  9. Act as the primary liaison between local office, store-chain and HQ, ensuring alignment on strategic goals and daily actions.
  10. Monitor the local market proactively, providing regular feedback, analyses, and action plans to the HQ.
  11. Ensure optimal conditions for the company's growth within the local market, identifying new opportunities and leveraging existing relationships.
  12. Ensure that the company achieves its financial targets and remains within budgetary constraints.
  13. Ensure all company activities are in accordance with relevant local laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  14. Proactively identify potential risks in the local market and develop effective strategies to mitigate them.
  15. Ensure that the company remains adaptable to changes and trends in the local market, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  16. Build and maintain strong relationships with Matrix Managers and local partners (including marketing, construction, and maintenance companies) and represent the company within local partnerships and authorities.

Must comply with the company's rules and procedures, occupational safety and health, fire safety instructions, and other internal procedures and orders approved by the company.
