We are looking for an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as a Chief Accountant-Serbia Belgrade. If you are passionate about accounting, have an excellent understanding of relevant regulations, and experience with VAT (including import and export transactions, preferred but not mandatory), this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of our team and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organizing and executing accounting processes for a company engaged in import, export, and domestic sales.
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports on company operations.
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of mandatory financial reports and coordinating with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Preparing reports for company shareholders.
• Reviewing and analyzing accounting data and reports.
• Preparing financial and statistical reports.
• Preparing and submitting accounting and tax reports to government authorities (including VAT returns and other tax obligations).
• Systematizing and maintaining original documents and business reports.
• Collaborating with contractual partners, tax consultants, legal advisors, and financial institutions.
• Payroll calculation, including salaries and benefits (preferred but not mandatory).
• Monitoring tax legislation and ensuring timely process adjustments.
• Organizing and conducting inventory of assets and liabilities.
• Performing other tasks within the scope of the Chief Accountants responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on VAT and VAT refunds.
• Excellent knowledge of regulations and procedures related to VAT and payroll calculation (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Precision, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English.
