ITQ Group SITE MANAGER

Scope:

Define what the main duties of the site manager are towards the site manager and the team coordinated by him.

DEFINITION OF THE ROLE

The subject responds hierarchically to the site manager as a figure of union between the operational and organizational parts, therefore he must implement his directives for the implementation of the site works, having control of the activities and workers with an overall vision of the progress of the order according to the work program.

Operationally manages one or more teams of operators on the same construction site and is appointed Manager pursuant to Legislative Decree 81/08, thus assuming all coordination and supervision responsibilities, thus assigning daily and weekly work to each team, liaising with the respective team leaders and if necessary directly with all operators.

He reports to the Site Manager who, if necessary, authorizes him to interact directly with suppliers or representatives of the client and/or competent bodies.

Main activities:

ECONOMIC AND TIME MANAGEMENT OF THE PROJECT

MAIN ACTIVITY

1) Verify that the attendance registers with the hours worked (divided by type of work) and the works carried out (measurement registers) are compiled and forwarded to the competent office, consistently with the actual state of progress.

2) Verifies compliance with the work program, both in terms of timing and use of human resources of materials/equipment, informing the DoC in case of anomalies and deviations from the program.

EXECUTION OF THE OPERATIONAL ORDER SERVICE

MAIN ACTIVITY

1) Supervises the workers for the correct and complete implementation of the works as per the project, timetable, PSC/POS and the indications received from his superior, both for ITQ employees and for the entrusted companies and workers.

2) Manages the workers in training, ensuring or delegating adequate, effective and safe support.

3) Checks inventory and requests site supplies of materials, equipment and services to maintain uninterrupted work flow.

4) Check the appropriateness of the technical specifications of the materials and equipment, of the temporary works according to: the indications received, the applicable rules and good working practices.

SAFETY MANAGER

MAIN ACTIVITY

1) As Manager, ensures all prevention and, subordinately, protection measures; prohibits unsafe areas and processes, constantly monitors the work and use of protection by workers, assigns particular processes to only suitable operators, supervises the use of equipment and machines reserved for trained and authorized operators;

2) Coordinates and supervises the correct, regular and efficient carrying out of all work on site, both by ITQ personnel and by contracted companies and personnel.

3) Reports the need for safety improvements to superiors, interfaces with the client, the DL and the control authorities to ensure compliant working conditions.

4) Reports anomalies, dangerous situations and cases of missed accidents, proposes actions and work choices to prevent accidents and illnesses, collects staff needs and suggestions to improve working conditions.

Skills:

REQUIRED SKILLS

TECHNICAL SKILLS

1. Experience in public infrastructure or construction works,

2. Knowledge of industry software (Autocad Primus );

3. Good skills in the field of budget analysis and valorised timetables;

4. Good skills in drafting active and passive accounting;

5. Good knowledge of the public works code 50/2016 and technical regulations;

SOFT SKILLS

1) Effective management of the resources entrusted to him for the management of the order;

2) Has strong communication management skills;

3) he is an excellent planner and an excellent supervisor of other people's work;

4) he is able to motivate work team members to improve their performance;

5) he has excellent problem solving, mediation and conflict management skills;

6) he has a strong orientation towards achieving goals.

Note:

Qualifications: surveyor, building expert, building engineer with consolidated experience in the construction field (the ideal is a figure who has developed skills starting from the bottom, first as a worker, then as a foreman, then as a site manager)

Other requirements:

Availability to travel (better if free from family commitments)
