Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our new branch. This position requires a dynamic professional with a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a strong network in the legal and business communities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing business development strategies, nurturing client relationships, and promoting the firms services to new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the new branch's market.
    • Identify and analyze market trends, potential clients, and business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align business goals and growth strategies.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for new clients, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
    • Organize client meetings, events, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships.
  3. Market Research and Outreach:
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify key industries and business sectors for expansion.
    • Develop targeted marketing campaigns to promote the firms services.
    • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  4. Collaboration and Team Development:
    • Work closely with the legal team to ensure client needs are met with the highest standards.
    • Train and mentor junior staff on business development best practices.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the new branch.
  5. Performance Tracking:
    • Set and monitor business development KPIs to measure the success of strategies.
    • Prepare regular reports on business development activities and outcomes for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of legal services and industry trends.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
    • Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
