We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Country Manager to lead our clients' operations in Greece- Athens.

As the key figure in the organization, you will be responsible for steering the company towards success, managing a talented team, and ensuring the achievement of ambitious sales, revenue, and distribution goals.

This pivotal role demands a dynamic leader who can manage and inspire a high-performing team, while achieving ambitious sales, revenue, and distribution targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to achieve targeted revenues, sales volumes, and distribution goals. Leverage deep market insights and data-driven decisions to steer the business toward sustained growth and profitability.
  • Marketing and Trade Strategy: Collaborate closely with Brand and Marketing teams to design and implement innovative trade marketing strategies that address specific market needs. Optimize budget allocation to maximize ROI while ensuring alignment with broader strategic objectives.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting: Lead the analysis of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic planning. Oversee the generation of accurate forecasts and reports, providing actionable insights to enhance market responsiveness and drive performance.
  • Sales and Distribution Management: Direct and mentor the sales team in the effective implementation of sales, distribution, and merchandising strategies. Develop robust sales and distribution systems to achieve both quantitative and qualitative objectives, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partnership and Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with sub-distributors, contractors, and key clients. Understand their financials and contractual terms, and work to enhance performance and align with company objectives. Propose and negotiate optimal pricing structures and distribution models.
  • Team Development and Management: Lead the recruitment, development, and management of a high-performing team. Implement coaching and performance evaluation processes, ensuring alignment with company values and compliance with local labor laws. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Client Contracting and Compliance: Oversee the contracting process with clients, ensuring thorough analysis and adherence to company policies. Monitor the fulfillment of contractual obligations, including payment terms and risk management, to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Regulatory and Legal Oversight: Stay informed of changes in local legislation and ensure full compliance with all legal requirements. Build relationships with key stakeholders and work closely with legal advisors to protect the company's interests in areas such as advertising, distribution, employment, and product development.

What Were Looking For our client:

  • Extensive Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the FMCG sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Demonstrated expertise in leading cross-functional teams and driving business growth.
  • Leadership Excellence: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team toward shared goals. Proven track record of achieving results in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex market data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and team members.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office and sales systems, with the ability to leverage technology for data analysis and decision-making.
  • Results-Oriented: A goal-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional results and driving customer satisfaction.
