For our Client - a startup media company building general interest content and information sites that are highly optimised. we are looking for:

 Lead Full Stack Developer




ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Full Stack Developer to join our team and lead the development of our websites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building high-quality, user-focused websites, highly optimised, and a track record of success in leading development teams. Youll have the opportunity to be part of a growing company, work across many different technical environments, build beautiful sites, wrangle data, and grow your team.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of our WordPress-based websites, ensuring that they are optimised for speed, scalability, and usability.

  • Work with our content team to ensure that our websites are built to support their content strategy and goals.

  • Work with external designers/design teams and turn their Wordpress designs into code.

  • Manage external development resources (if needed) and coordinate with other departments (such as marketing and design) to ensure that all aspects of the website are working together seamlessly.

  • Develop and implement best practices for website development, including coding standards, documentation, and testing.

  • Collaborate with our affiliate marketing team to ensure that our websites are optimised for affiliate revenue generation.



Requirements:

Must have:


  • 5+ years of experience in full stack web development, with a focus on WordPress development.

  • Strong experience with full stack front-end web (HTML, CSS, and full-stack JavaScript).

  • Experience turning Figma, AdobeXD, etc. designs into pixel perfect WordPress themes and building your own Wordpress themes.

  • Experience with back-end web technologies, a master of both PHP and SQL.

  • Experience in optimising websites for speed, SEO, scalability, and usability.

  • Experience working with a small, highly motivated, team.

  • A strong portfolio of Wordpress sites representing your work.


Nice to have:

  • Experience with affiliate marketing, tracking solutions and optimising websites for revenue generation is a big plus.

  • Experience with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure.

  • Experience with at edge solutions like AWS Lambda Edge, Cloudflare workers/pages, Vercel.

  • Experience with cloud based data warehousing like Google BigQuery/Table, Snowflake, etc.

  • Experience using Github (including Actions and Issues) and Notion.
