For our client, a leading producer of high-quality bakery and confectionery products in Kosovo, we are looking for a Chief Executive Officer.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and performance of the industrial bakery business. The CEO leads the company in achieving sustainable growth, operational excellence, market expansion, and profitability, while ensuring high standards in food production, quality, safety, and organizational governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the company's overall business strategy in line with shareholder and Board objectives.
  • Lead all core business functions, including production, sales, distribution, procurement, finance, quality assurance, and human resources.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and expansion into new markets, customers, and product categories.
  • Oversee industrial bakery operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and cost control across the production chain.
  • Ensure the company maintains the highest standards in food safety, product quality, compliance, and operational reliability.
  • Evaluate and approve major capital investments, including production lines, automation, packaging systems, and facility expansion.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, retail partners, banks, investors, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Monitor KPIs across production yield, waste, labor efficiency, sales growth, margins, on-time delivery, and quality performance.
  • Lead innovation and product development initiatives in collaboration with technical, commercial, and production teams.
  • Ensure the organization has the right leadership structure, talent, and succession planning in place.
  • Promote a results-driven culture focused on accountability, discipline, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
  • Report regularly to the Board of Directors on strategic progress, financial performance, operational risks, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Food Industry, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of senior executive experience, preferably in food production, FMCG, bakery, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of industrial operations, supply chain, finance, and commercial strategy.
  • Proven experience in scaling operations, improving profitability, and managing multi-department business performance.
  • Experience working with production environments, automation, distribution, and retail or wholesale channels is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
