For our client, a leading producer of high-quality bakery and confectionery products in Kosovo, we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the financial leadership and control of the industrial bakery business. The CFO oversees financial planning, reporting, budgeting, liquidity, compliance, cost analysis, and strategic financing, while supporting the company's growth, operational investments, and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial strategy of the company and align it with overall business objectives.
- Oversee accounting, controlling, treasury, budgeting, tax, audit, and financial reporting functions.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and liquidity planning to support daily operations and capital expenditure.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze profitability by product category, customer, sales channel, and production line.
- Monitor and improve cost performance across raw materials, packaging, labor, logistics, utilities, and overhead.
- Support production and operations teams with financial insights on yield, waste, efficiency, and margin improvement.
- Lead investment appraisals for machinery, industrial lines, facility upgrades, and expansion projects.
- Coordinate with banks, leasing companies, investors, and financial institutions on loans, financing, and strategic transactions.
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, tax accuracy, and financial risk management.
- Support the CEO and Board with strategic financial decision-making, scenario planning, and business performance analysis.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in finance leadership, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, treasury, and internal controls.
- Experience with production costing, inventory management, and financial planning in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.
