An international logistics and transportation group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Director to lead its operations in North Macedonia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the local team, overseeing daily operations, and driving business growth with a strong focus on road freight (part loads and full loads).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the local team to achieve operational and commercial targets.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations with a focus on road freight services (part loads and full loads).

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and carriers while actively developing new business opportunities.

  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members, setting clear goals and monitoring performance.

  • Ensure smooth execution of freight operations, addressing and resolving issues promptly.

  • Collaborate closely with the wider regional group, contributing ideas and supporting strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in freight forwarding / logistics management.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client and carrier relationships.

  • Hands-on problem-solving mindset and operational focus.

  • Familiarity with sea or air freight is an advantage.

  • Fluency in English (other languages will be an advantage).
